Ei (Eye, Aye) is the sound of personal identity. When any person, place or thing is said to “do” anything, some form of “I” is implied. Likewise, in every such case some sort of chicken/egg causality is implied in which the egg, the “I,” comes before the chicken.
The chicken is the most dispersed animal of sacrifice around the world and the “I” is always coming before the sacrifice in every person, place or thing. The “I” is never the locus of sacrifice, but only that from which the locus of sacrifice emerges.
Each person, place or thing emerges from its “I” to grow into a sacrificial object. Sacrifice is the acknowledgement that a person, place or thing was once an “I.”
